Long Beach to Ensenada

Left Long Beach the morning of 10/13 with Joe and MaryLou Upton and Mike  and Kathy Jackson on Anna.

Not much wind, but it was warm and sunny.

The first night we were at Dana Point.
Next night San Diego Yacht Club.

Left San Diego in Fog on 11/16 6am.
Arrived Ensenada 4:30. Cold and sunny.
Turns out we don't have one document that we need to clear customs so it is being sent "UPS Overnight". We are hoping we can leave Sat. 11/20 or so. Anna left today (11/18). In the mean time there is plenty to keep us entertained:

The start of Baja 1000 was in Ensenada today ...............................pretty exciting!

Another Week in Long Beach!

The major projects for the last 2 weeks were to purchase and install dinghy davits and to get the SSB Radio up and running. Dinghy davits are up and the radio is up and running, but the operators need more studying and practice to actually use it properly – despite instruction and coaching from Roger King – a neighbor on our dock (King’s Pride) who has a sister ship of Loomba-Loomba.
We’ve seen a lot of Drew and his friends , which has been really fun. We took them  out for a sail one day.

Drew and Jim went surfing one morning at Huntington Beach.

The weather has been great, but the nights have been cold enough to light the diesel heater.

Uptons arrived on Anna last Sunday evening 11/7.  They were in the boat yard getting a new shaft and propeller for a few days and now they’ve moved to our marina.
Jacksons are scheduled to arrive today, 11/12 to join Uptons on Anna. We are planning to head out on Saturday morning 11/13 to buddy boat our way south.

Long Beach

We arrived in Long Beach 10/22. We've been having fun, doing boat projects, running errands (Drew loaned us a car), and seeing friends and family. Joe and MaryLou Upton will be meeting us here so we can buddy boat from here down the coast of Baja.
