Christmas in the Northwest

We have been back in Mazatlan since January 5th.

We spent five weeks (mostly staying with Heyers)
in the Northwest. It was fun and BUSY – I don’t think
we could have squeezed in one more activity!

First we drove from Mazatlan to Drew's house
in Gold Canyon, Arizona with an overnight stop
in San Carlos.  We had a nice two day visit
with Drew and then flew to Seattle on November 25th.

Drew and Fiona up in the Superstition Mountains
 behind his Arizona House
Kelsey and RL (Heyer) hosted a delicious Thanksgiving
dinner for the few family members who were in town
and a few friends (not pictured).

The weather was mostly clear, sunny, and cold
while we were there, but the day after
Thanksgiving it was pouring rain -
the day we went to the Macy's parade downtown!
Seattleites are used to the rain - Kelsey, R.L, and Simon
in the middle of the crowd watching the parade go by
We went to Zoolights and the Underwater Santa at the
Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium
on a beautiful cold and clear night.

We watched Simon swimming at the Community Pool

We celebrated Simon's First Birthday........................

This is a song RL wrote, performed at his
CD Release Party, and recorded for Simon.
Simon almost has the finger snapping down!

We all stayed at the Downtown Hilton for two nights
to partake in all of the downtown Christmas activities.

Morning walk to Lake Washington

On the 27th we did a round-trip drive to Portland for
a Delius Family Christmas Gathering.
Great to see the Oregon contingent.
Piper (who is ten days older than Simon) and Simon
seem to have a special connection.

On December 30th we flew out of Seattle
headed for Phoenix via SFO.
At the dock in Mazatlan as of 1/5/15
